Wim Vanhaverbeke

Wim Vanhaverbeke is Professor (Emeritus) of Digital Strategy and Transformation at the University of Antwerp. His research examines how digital strategies and innovation ecosystems reshape industries, particularly in healthcare, agriculture, and energy. He is widely recognized for his contributions to digital transformation, open innovation, and ecosystem management.
He has held visiting positions at institutions including the National University of Singapore and currently teaches at Zhejiang University, ESADE Business School, and Politecnico di Milano. His work has been widely published in leading academic outlets. He is the author of Managing Open Innovation in SMEs and co-editor of several books.
As Editor-in-Chief of Technovation, he plays a central role in shaping research in technology and innovation management. He also advises companies and public organizations on digital transformation and ecosystem strategies, and regularly teaches in executive and MBA programs worldwide.
